Churches

St James Anglican Church at 65 Church St South was built in 1857. Extensive renovations in 1858 included raising the roof, adding the tower and the west entrance.

The United Church at 85 Church St South was built in 1879 as a Methodist church.

The St Marys Presbyterian Church at 147 Widder St East started construction in 1879 and opened in March 1881.

Holy Name of Mary Roman Catholic Church at 149 King St North was opened in July 1893.

The First Baptist Church at 34 Church St South was built in 1902.
