252 Queen St East
John Sanderson built the the stone cottage on the right in 1850.   He was a carpenter and started a lumber yard located at Queen and Peel.   In 1869 he built the two storey addition.   Around 1900 the entrance porch was added.   John Sanderson was on the committee that in 1881 built the Presbyterian church.

347 Queen St East
The house was built in 1854 for Elizabeth James and her husband William who was a cooper. It was sold to Joseph Brown in 1861.
